Something Big is on the Horizon : Meet Australian Astronaut Andy Thomas at UWA - FULLY BOOKED!! Other events...
The University of Western Australia is delighted to offer high school students and teachers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Australia’s only astronaut, Dr Andy Thomas, at two special student and teacher events in September.

At the students event, we are able to invite up to 20 students and 1 teacher from schools across WA to attend a talk at the Octagon Theatre. Dr Andy Thomas has spent more than 177 days literally off the planet, and will enthrall students with discussion of how he came to be recruited by NASA and his experiences as Australia’s only astronaut.

At the teachers event, the Centre for Learning Technology will play host to up to 35 teachers for an up close and personal encounter with our famous astronaut. Following a short presentation, teachers will be able to spend half-an-hour quizzing Dr Thomas followed by a light lunch and networking.

An initiative of the Fogarty Foundation in collaboration with The University of Western Australia, Curtin University, Scitech, Aspire UWA, Spice, ICRAR and the US Department of State.

BOTH EVENTS ARE FULLY BOOKED!!
